Halloween is coming and with it the dances in Satulinna. Now that my outfit is almost ready, I had to do something with my hair. Since I wasn't dyeing my hair for over a year, I kind of didn't want to treat them with the harmful chemicals again and risk, yet again a great loss of hair.
Then I remembered henna and did a little research.
Because I wanted my dark brown hair, to be raven black, I decided to go with the pure indigo. This was the first time I was doing it, and even though I've read countless instructions on "how to, I kinda failed.
I mean I did put it in the hair as best, as I only could, and I had it on my hair for over 4 hours. My head was wrapped in a foil-towel cocoon. I was afraid it might happen so, that I will end up with hair like a cow's hide. And it did.
What went wrong?
To start, I think that the mixture was too thick, so I had really issues with putting it on my hair.
I applied it from the back of my head, towards the front. Well I was pretty much kneeling over the bowl full of indigo.
I was doing that without a mirror.
I used 100 g of indigo powder, and I guess it might be a bit too little for the length of my hair.
So today I am making the second attempt, to get the hair covered properly. Let's see...
